Hi, I'm Sascha, and I am so happy to connect with you!

I am unashamedly a Good Girl with a Rebel Heart. I am passionate about people, their stories, their inner workings, and I am equally passionate about doing Life differently. With a background that involved traversing remote regions of Australia during my unconventional childhood, my fierce independence, love of adventure, and curiosity about people's stories and experiences were born.

My journey in psychology began as a 'mature age' student when I started my formal training at the age of 22. I fell in love with the discipline and found it to be my first true Love after reading and writing. As a clinical psychologist with two decades of practice experience, I have had the privilege of exploring the psyches of people from various walks of life, both in Australia and internationally.

Passion for Peak Performance and Happiness

Throughout my career, I have developed a deep and intuitive understanding of people through advanced post-graduate training in neuroscience, attachment theory, parenting, and positive psychology. This knowledge has allowed me to help individuals optimize their Mind, Body, and Spirit for peak performance and happiness in both business and life.

My Passion as a Mentor

As a mentor, I find profound joy in nurturing the potential of aspiring minds. Guiding individuals through their journey of self-discovery and professional growth is a privilege I hold dear. Witnessing the transformation of a curious learner into a confident achiever is immensely fulfilling. My approach is rooted in empathy, encouragement, and a deep belief in the unique capabilities of each mentee. Through tailored guidance, constructive feedback, and unwavering support, I aim to inspire a generation of thoughtful, compassionate leaders who are empowered to make positive contributions to society. Mentoring is not just a role for me; it is a calling that allows me to share knowledge, ignite passions, and cultivate lasting relationships built on trust and mutual respect.

Sascha has worked as a clinical psychologist for 20 years. The key focus of Sascha's work across her career to date has been supporting families in one way or another. This has included individual therapeutic work with adults, individual therapy with children and young people, and family-centered therapeutic interventions that provide support for kids, parents and extended family members.

Sascha has practiced in a diverse range of settings so that she has experience working with people from many walks of life and has a strong personal and professional interest in Australian Aboriginal culture. She has worked extensively with Aboriginal Health Services, together with government departments and private clinics.

Sascha's practice is underpinned by an understanding of the biology of the brain and the body, and attachment theory (that highlights the critical importance and influence of our early relationships on future relationships, how we manage emotions and wellbeing generally), enabling a holistic approach to the support she offers her clients.

Key therapeutic approaches that inform Sascha's mentorship include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, interpersonal neurobiology and family therapy.

In addition to clinical practise, Dr Sascha has provided supervision, mentorship and training for many practitioners for over 15 years.

In addition to formal supervision experience and qualifications, Sascha's supervisory approach is informed by her work experience across a diverse range of practice environments including: NGOs (primarily Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services), private practice, EAP provider, Health and Child Protection departments and private organizations. This experience has given Sascha significant knowledge of working with adults, children, adolescents and families. Sascha has lived and worked in rural and remote locations so understands the additional challenges that practitioners working in similar locations can encounter. Sascha has a particular interest in working with individuals and families with complex histories and needs - fundamentally informed by neuroscience and attachment theory.

Sascha has extensive experience working within and with multi-disciplinary teams as they aim to support child, parent and family wellbeing. This means that she can provide practical supervisory guidance for staff working in similar settings, including psychologists, social workers, allied health therapists, case managers and GPs. Sascha works from a systems perspective so is able to support practice within a case management framework in addition to discipline-specific clinical supervision.
